A Triathlon and a Celebrity!

Recently, the base had the 2nd Annual Cold Steel Sprint Triathlon. Summer and I were going to do it, but found we didn't have much time to train, so we recruited her hubby Grant to make a team out of it; and had a lot of fun :) There were about 75 people racing and the weather was perfect! The transition area
Grant coming out of the pool from his 400m swim; he did awesome!
Getting ready to ride 20K twice around the flight line. Thankfully a friend let me borrow her bike since mine is in storage in Tucson.
All done biking; now the hi-five for Summer to run...
...off she goes; making great time!
All done with our medal and guns of course :)
After the Triathlon we headed to Subway for a Celebrity appearance...you guessed it...it's Jared!!
He's here doing his pacific tour at select bases in Asia. You wouldn't believe how excited we were when we found out he was coming to Osan. We knew roughly 3 weeks in advance so when it came time to meet him; I was a little nervous and shy to ask for his autograph. It felt as if I had met the Queen of England or something! So funny!
Love the Pizza Hut sign in the back...some irony there, don't ya' think? :)
Tyler not sure about the Giant Sub
Thanks Jared!!

Everland

When Andy was on leave (nearly a month ago...) we went to Everland which is the Disneyworld of Korea. We had a ton of fun and stayed til' closing (mainly cause I wanted to go on the rides over and over when no one was there!). They had a zoo area, rides for kids of all ages, botanical gardens, a hostel to stay at, and a European Village just like Disneyworld where we had some amazing German food and listened to some good ol' fashion Polka Music! (Summer, can I get a "holla!?")
This is a picture of us with their version of Mickey Mouse...have no idea what this blue thing is but Tyler liked him :)

Tyler riding in his new chariot :)

They had a really cool bird area where you could feed them and they flew all over you landing on your shoulder, back, anywhere they found a place to rest...by the looks of this picture you can tell I've never had a bird on me before :)

Tyler admiring the baby chicks
So precious :)
This is supposed to be the "steepest rollercoaster in the world"(don't they all claim to be though?), anyway I LOVE a good coaster and never before has my stomach dropped until this one! It's a 77% grade on the main drop. I was in shock!
No, we are not in Egypt! They had a petting zoo and an area where you could ride animals. Have you ever seen a Korean dressed as a Jeanie? I haven't.

As soon as I saw Euoropean Village I literally skipped like a little school girl on my way over screaming, "It's Europe, it's Europe!!!" ....I am so desperate :)Here's where we got our yummy German food
Tyler listening to polka music and loving it of course!

You have to savor every bite in the land of squid and octupus....
A gigantic heart made out of roses in the gardens

Making new friends while standing in line for the Dumbo ride

A quick spin in the teacups before its time to go home!

Father's Day

I know, I know! Father's Day was a few weeks ago, but as I mentioned before, I have a ton of posts and it will drive me crazy if they are not in some sort of order (even though, I have one that goes before this, but it will just have to bug me :)) We had a wonderful, relaxing Father's Day! After church there was a big BBQ in the parking Lot. This is when Tyler decided to give Andy the best Father's Day gift of all: "Dada". It was his first time saying it and he said it all day :) After the BBQ we went home and took a nice afternoon nap, then off to the Camp Humphrey's (Army Base) Splish Splash Water park just a half hour away.
It was a fun day and I am so blessed to have Andy as Tyler's Daddy! He is consistently putting family first and without hesitation helps with Tyler when I need it. He will hold him all day if we are out and about, help put him to sleep, make bottles, entertain him when Tyler doesn't want to eat so that I can feed him, makes him giggle in a way that I can't; the list goes on and on! Above all, he has wonderful dreams/goals for raising that son of ours and it includes unconditional love and quality time; which is why I hope Tyler grows to be just like his Daddy :) Saying "Dada"
Our Church smack Dab in the city of Songtan.
They rented out the public parking lot next door for the BBQ...space is hard to come by!
It's never to early to be introduced to the Bouncy Castle!

It was pretty hot out so we went inside and dumped some water on Tyler's head to cool him off...the result: Spikes!
The Army Base waterpark. They had a Kid's Zone, Waterslides, an Olympic size swimming pool, hot tub, volleball courts and mini golf; so much fun!!

Happy Father's Day Hun!
